some crafty entrepreneur will be planning on making white bras as we speak
lucky Telegraph, they have found a photo of one woman affected
Heather Watson had a sports bra on yesterday which, obviously, was white. It is not advisable to play sports without the support of a bra. Absolutely ludicrous rule. Rx
Don't mean to deride her, jno, but she's hardly Katie Price sized, is she?
who is, WelshYorkie, who is.
I don't see the problem. The rule is white. Wear white.
Having looked in the mirror this morning, jno, I'm not far off - my moobs are quite a handful
I agree with Boxtops. The ban is only on coloured bras.
TMI, Yorkie, TMI :-)
they're on rather tasteless grounds prescribing the colour of adults' underwear, though. It sounds like boarding school.
If it is a last minute change with no forewarning one can see why folk would be annoyed. But I was under the impression that Wimbledon always wanted all white, and maybe made an error in turning a blind eye previously.

If the rules were in place well in advance of the tournament I don't see why the women couldn't have bought white undies.

Also it is affecting men too - plus it extends to the trim on footwear and that has caused upset.
So what exactly is the problem? The rules state quite clearly - all white. So don't come moaning to me if your outfit isn't all white. It's not as though white knickers and bras are difficult to find, is it?
according to the story, the rule is new. It sounds like a last-minute crackdown that's caught players on the hop.
Can there be anybody in the world that doesn't know that there is an all-white rule at Wimbledon ?
Most bras seem to be white, or they start off as white and become grey as time goes on. Most of these girls have no boobs anyway - they are athletes.

Is there a white knicker rule too?
I have never taken much interest in women's tennis up until now, but......
I guess so, wolf, given that women wear their tennis skirts above the knee thesse days.
The hussies!
