Well, mikey...good morning......I hope i wouldn't be judged on the quality and quantity of my work over my final 3 years and would clearly liked to be judged over a lifetime of public service.

PP.......that is so in Private Practice........keep up high standards and you maintain a living wage.

In the NHS it is different.......difficult to get sacked and free wheeling for the last 5 years AND maintain a good pension is the rule.

Ken Clarke has given service to the Conservative party, and the country for over 40 years, so I am happy he has been honoured.

The other 3 have had rather unremarkable careers, and they are got Gongs for just making up the numbers in my opinion.
