Isn't he supposed to be neutral? Despite the fact that he's giving the money away - to his own religious foundation - should he have accepted this award?

Does anyone remember the last Israeli onslaught on Gaza? Blair was remarkably slow in condemning their butchery. Perhaps this is his reward.

Israel began their offensive just after Christmas 2008, and ended it 22 days later. Thus it was all over by the time the award was announced.

Good point about the date, I missed that. But the fact that he took this money from one side in a dispute in which he's supposed to be neutral must call that neutrality into doubt.
