Let the refugees in, I say. Britain can do with more Christians. If they can't home-grow them, shouldn't they import them? Like the Muslims who have been welcomed in great numbers?

We should give them all the help we can in their own country. They are not refugees.

What and let them set off against each other in this country?
I have as much sympathy as any one else for the Iraqi Christians plight.I hate these Islamic fundamentalist savages with a vengence. But,unless I am missing something on the TV News why is it only the UK and US who are sending aid to them.Where is France,Germany Belgium,Spain etc.Don't they possess helicopters. Why,should we alone, let them into the UK should that happen. So much for a European UNION!!!

Has I have said also.
because the UK govt always has to poke its nose in? or because Uncle Sam says we have to?

I also cannot see why the plight of those in Gaza are not given the same sympathies?
sorry aog. You must of said that in another post which I also missed
Yes, here we go again. The Froggies, the Spanish etc useless in this regard. The only thing I can say in their defence is that Britain has the fourth largest defence budget in the world so others expect us to lead, after the U.S.

That's all right no need top apologise, it was not meant as a dig, I was just agreeing with you.

And don't we pay vast sums for the 'privilege' of being a member of the EU, so why is this not an EU problem, to say nothing of the UN.
RATTER15

What have the Christians done against you?
But he EU has no weapons.
If we have the fourth largest defence budget scooping I would never of guessed it. Were we not contemplating borrowing French aircraft carriers should we need them recently.Last time I visited a RAF helicopter station in Hants of the six or so Chinooks in one Squadron only two were operational. Admittedly that was several years ago and I would hope the situation has improved since then.
I believe the plight of Gaza and the Israeli Christians differ in so much that the Palestinians accept their elected government lobbing rockets into their neighbours back yard. The Christians were not threatening or terrorising any one.
OG, I was brought up being lied to by Christians!! Christians have dictated over our lives for many years. They need stamping out nearly as much as Muslims!!
If, and it's a Big If, I.S are slaughtering people, cutting them in half, crucifying them, beheading them etc we should bomb the *** back into the Stone Age - which is where they belong. A few seconds ago France has said the are now going to supply weapons to the Kurds, so suppose that's a start from our so-called allies.

No but it's member states have.
EU member states, besides us,have weapons and helicopters and should also have relief aid.I think Germany is not allowed to use weapons unless to defend itself. The Luftwaffe has helicopters to assist in air drops and evacuation.
sorry aog. Crossed thread there.
Retrocop: We do have the forth largest defence budget in world. The sad state of affairs, particularly with the RAF, is simply comparative. It is a percentile reduction from a high figure.
