There's a funny article in today's G2 section of the Guardian where people have written in to tell about purchases made, under the influence of drink.

Have any of you ever done that? Or have you made any rash purchases when you were thinking straight?

yes , totally unsuitable and expensive clothes from QVC, luckily you can return them but have to pay return postage.

Things always seem to be a good idea at the time !.
Wasn't drunk but bought some soap and the postage and packaging cost more...

Only pears which I like. It's £1 a bar in shops. On line you can get it for allegedly 40p a bar if you buy 10 or more. when I ordered they said they only had one bar left and it cost about £3 to send one bar. I didn't know how to get out of the sale, lol!
Slipped up there, cupes !.
Furniture and clothes which seemed like a good idea at the time :-(
That's one area I would never go into whilst on the Brandy Tilly, a moments lack of concentration can cost you a lot of money>

None, TWR. I rarely buy anything using the internet, except exotic foreign holidays. I have not regretted any of those.
I buy on the net all the rime - it's the first place I go when we want to buy anything. I get all my craft stuff on-line, all sorts of things for the house (Kilner jar lids today, we have no local stockist).

I think it's because it's so easy to buy stuff, I don't. I'm perverse.

I don't use my credit card either because it's so easy to use one and I don't like the idea of spending money I haven't got. I have one 'just in case'.
I buy as much as I can on-line. I hate shopping and the choice around here is vey limited.

When I worked I did do Ocado online food/groceries shopping. Now I prowl around Lidl, the Co-op and Sainsbury's to find the bargains. How times change.

In the guardian article someone bought four cases of industrial-sized hospital bottles of Dettol. 12 bottles in each case. 192 litres of Dettol!
I was stone cold sober when I purchased The Duck with a Dick!
