Why anybody would use cloud storage for anything, let alone nude photos is beyond me. About a year ago, I went to PC World to buy an external HD, but came under a lot of pressure to buy Cloud storage instead. Eventually I bought a little Toshiba thingy, which works fine and I can put it in my pocket and use it anywhere, as it is powered by the USB cord. If I am in the caravan or the car, I can easily store photos on it, via my small Notebook laptop ...problem solved !
But if I had bought the ruddy Cloud storage, I would be running around trying to find a Wifi connection ! Has anybody found a Wifi connection in a carpark half up a Welsh mountain ! Daft idea.

No, they don't only have themselves to blame.
Someone hacked into their online storage, it would be the person who hacked in who is to blame.
It's like if I broke into your house joeluke, and then everyone said "well, you shouldn't have had a solid gold bust of Tony Blair in your downstairs loo should you? There's only you to blame"
It's just not how ownership and law works I'm afraid... As much as you'd like to be able to bash some selbs :)

I think the issue of quite 'what' was stolen is moot......the main concern is that obviously the system isn't as hack-proof as it should be.
Many people now live their entire lives in 'the ether', taking advantage of the technological advances available to them and assume that their information is safeguarded.
The fault lies with the design and the thief.....although slightly more with the thief.

Its the central daftness of Cloud storage that I can't get over. I suppose its easier to share photos with other people, but what was wrong with sending them as email attachment ?
Celebs are sometimes their own worst enemies. I remember many years ago that Woody Allen was complaining about his privacy being challenged but when I was in New York in 1991, he was sitting in the back of his white Rolls Royce, in a traffic jam in Manhattan !

Gervais is, is he invariably is 99% of the time, totally correct.
If you have compromising photos of yourself and wish to keep them for whatever reason put them on a memory stick and place them in a bank vault.
Given that hacking happens on a daily basis you would think that those who have a persona and reputation to maintain, however dumb they appear would be a tad more circumspect.

There is nothing wrong in enjoying the comfort of a quality British car if you can afford it. What do you expect him to do,ring up the NYPD from his in-car phone and demand a police motor cycle escort and road closures to facilitate his progres He was, actually, just being ordinary and sitting in the traffic like all the other "common" people.
