100 Pupils Sent Home For Wearing Incorrect Shoes.

Is it any wonder some of our children are not used to discipline with parents such as this?
Regardless of the excuses of only being told by text the day before term started, these parents were actually informed of the 'uniform' policy by letter twice last term, as well as informing the pupils during assembly.
However I thought the caption under this picture rather amusing.

We had a strict uniform and had to wear boaters and blazers on a Sunday to church. This school has chugged out over the years innovative female Artists, Scientists and avant-garde thinkers and doers, so I'm afraid knocks kvalidars blinkered opinion well on the head. //You are lucky that you and your family have the means of self support that enables you to stick to your opinions.//
No, we are not 'lucky' we all work very hard and my father pulled himself up with his bootstraps with no money at all and fresh out of prison. 'Luck' was certainly not present. Anyone, anyone at all can become self employed- it's a choice not to do so, just as it's a choice to work for someone else.
Yeah Bednobs- that's exactly what I'm going to say. NOT.
I think we are going to go over and over ground already covered so I'll leave you to it.

Fine kval, why don't you go into some schools and tell all the year 11s how they will never have to work for anyone when they leave school, absolutely everybody can be self-employed. Give them some ideas.
You realise if they did that there would be no doctors, nurses, vets, police, teachers, barristers even...

/// Okay but when the *** hits the fan do you want a herd of sheeple at your back or someone who'll stand up and be counted? I know which I'd prefer, and it's not the people who meekly run off at the first sign of trouble because that's what they have been indoctrinated to do. ///
No we don't want anyone to stand up alone we want a whole group of people who are prepared to don a uniform and fight as a whole unit, not some stand alone undisciplined person who takes no orders from the 'sheepies'.

Uniforms are important -they give pupils a sense of belonging, take away any 'fashion police' type bullying and any pupil absconding from school, or causing trouble is easily recognized in the town centre or on a bus. Good leather shoes are important for growing feet , children can wear their trainers at home.
He has indeed Ummm- he owns who he is and he owns who he was, so I know he won't mind it being discussed.
I'll come back to answer AOG's point as it's so politely put although I was going to leave this thread alone as it was starting to get more than a little personal.
My father was in prison for GBH and once he left prison he came to England from Ireland and started initially by washing windows and cars, moved up to dealing in cars and online businesses and finally to property. Before he was in prison he worked for other people as far as I am aware afterwards he worked for himself.
I'd like to clarify that clearly self employment isn't for everyone but it is possible for everyone should they choose it. I see no reason we cant all hold our own opinions on this subject without outrage.
