Alex Salmond plans to fast-track Scotland’s entry into the Eurovision Song Contest if the Yes campaign wins. Comforting for the Scots to know he has the important things worked out.

Absolutely. It's a question of priorities.

Haaaa! My thoughts exactly! :o)
Breathes there the man, with soul so dead,
Who never to himself hath said,
This is my own, my native land!
Whose heart hath ne'er within him burn'd,
As home his footsteps he hath turn'd,
From wandering on a foreign strand!
If such there breathe, go, mark him well;
For him no Minstrel raptures swell;
I think it speaks well for Salmond that he has an eye to details both large and small.
About the only good thing to come out of the YES campaign, if it ever goes ahead !
Ohhhh, Eddie Reader's not going to be best pleased with His Immensity if this ever goes ahead.
And Horse, don't forget Horse.
"... and here is Lulu (with zimmer frame) representing Eckistan". Nil points ! Scotland will implode after a yes vote but Eck is banging on about trivia.
Yes, Salmond has got Lulu lined up maybe to perform her '67 song...

'Let's pretend'
that story's a total fudge, isn't? The only fact in it is that the SBS, when it exists, will seek to jon the EBU. They will then be entitled to enter Eurovision.

No mention of Salmond anywhere beyond the unsupported claim at the start. No mention of fast-tracking. And the only mention of Lulu is "Yes campaigners have speculated...", which sounds like a pub conversation.

Sounds like more propaganda from the UK preess to me.

Not so sure, jno.

//Mr Salmond was also "happy to confirm" that Scotland would be represented at the Eurovision Song Contest.//

Flipping heck...I can't believe we are actually talking about the Eurovision Song Contest ! A non-subject and complete irrelevance if ever I saw one.
interesting if the fledgling SBS chooses to spend its cash on something like that rather than buying something the population actually want to watch - like eastenders (yes they will have to pay for it - can't see the bbc being at all benevolent); unless SBS intend making their own version, set in Shettleston, perhaps?
