Jno. Just shows how the Mail looks at both sides! Just remember who was in power at the time of the disastrous take over of Amro, championed by Salmond, Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling, with good old Tony Bliar wining and dining and giving hima knighthood. This was never mentioned in the "Better together"campaign which run by, oh yes, Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling.....
By the phrase " the same direction" I presume you mean financial rack and ruin linda ? Unlikely but Salmond has yet to answer really important fiscal questions. My best guess is that if there is a YES vote today, he will have to go cap in hand to the IMF sooner rather than later, in order for his new country to work at all. My estimation is that it will sooner rather than later.
