Congratulations to Scotland for it democratic decision.

In the speech of Salmond he said that the voice of Scottish people had spoken "...at this moment" and it is that "at this moment" that worries me.

The quote of Winston Churchill at the end of the Battle of Britain seems as appropriate to Scotland as it did to the UK in those dark days of 1940:

I have had a read of this story on the BBC site and it wasn't really much of a mass riot/fight. Thee appears to have been in injuries. Granted if the police had not been there it could have turned into a brawl.

It is pretty much a non-story. I was just in the city centre and there was nothing happening - apart from people shopping.

AOG - I think that you will find that most of the 'discussions' that have taken place regarding the vote and the verdict/outcome have been very Scottish - good humoured with a bit of cynicism and sarcasm thrown in.

The result of the Scottish referendum has done nothing but divide a Country (Scotland) which I feel would have remained united with a Yes Vote.

Having voted NO the Scots are now dependent on what Westminster decides and the folk North of the English Border are going to loose their votes in what is an English Parliament.........Incidentally, if you have not already guessed, I am Not English or Scottish, but a mere observer of the position which prevails.
