Eamon Andrews a proper trooper. He carried on presenting 'This is your life' for 3 weeks even after he had died.

Cyril Fletcher...Odd odes. Eamon Andrews..This is your life and before that a boxing commentator with Radio Eirann, Wilfred Pickles, 'Give him the money,Mable', (sometimes as much as 7/6)
Yes, golden oldies, all of them
I do, though the first three particularly. The fourth was dated when when I was a small boy and by the time the fifthe and sixth came along I was grown up and didn't watch telly.
I remember Eamonn Andrews from "what's my Line" and Russell Harty from an interview with Grace Jones.
Yup. :)

I remember Ciff Michelmore when he was Jif Michelmore! :-P
What's My Line? Eamon Andrews, Isabel Barnet, Gilbert Harding, Barbara Kelly, David Nixon, Cyril Fletcher.
Russell Harty getting a slap around the ear from Grace Jones. And Simon Dee who was on TV maybe 5 nights a week and then seemed to vanish as though the ground had opened up and swallowed him.

What about Archie Andrews?
I remember Eamon Andrews, when he was first on Irish TV, he's an uncle to a top earner on RTÉ (Ryan Tubridy) and had family in the Irish government, apart from all that, I remember him with This Is your life etc - don't know the others mentioned though, I'd have to google them
Archie Andrews was a ventriloquist's doll, worked by Peter Brough. I always thought it funny that you could be a ventriloquist on radio.

Always good for a smile
