And this is the one night of the week when they don't have ABC World News replayed (01:30, BBC News channel), so we can get the American perspective on current events.

I'll read the link now.
Seems to be a variation on the theme of "going postal" but with a twist.

"…had been attempting to convert other employees to Islam for several weeks", prior to the incident.

So, he can't have been achieving 100% productivity if he's constantly proselytising which might have made him sackable in its own right.

Depending on local laws, attempting to convert people is hardly respecting their religion and culture so he could have been sacked on grounds of religious intolerance.

Oh, the irony.

Meanwhile, the Church of Concealed Carry will be winning new converts as a result of this.
Another case of the assailant crecently converting to Islam while in prison, and not being born into the faith and not raised as a muslim. Many of the British terrorists are recent converts.

Does the religion appeal to crimals in prison because they believe it justifies their violence?
Or Are are they in prison because their crimes are committed because they are mentally ill or of low intelligence?

Whatever the reason, the link between home grown terrorists and converts to Ilam seems well established.
It doesn't appear at this time, to be religiously motivated, just another mad Yank,
Mikey, he's a Muslim convert who's been trying to convert his co-workers. I'd guess that influenced the method of execution he used.
I agree Naomi...it would have been much better if he had just shot people with a legally held firearm, in the American tradition.
It's something worth considering.
I do not think we can rule out that it was religiously motivated. From appearance I would say that it was. He had been in prison previously, so he might just be a nut job, but the style of execution suggests he was under the influence of his faith (even if it was a bogus version of it).
It seems te motivted by being sacked but the method influenced by the recent muslim related beheadings so a bit of both religion an non religion.

It is frightening to see what goes off in these Mosques.
and here's our pacifist speaking who doesn't want the UK to join in the action of softening up ISIS and has no counter-strategy to limit and then eliminate them......Brilliant.
Thanks for that link aog; a worrying example of fear enforced compliance by ruthless, totally indoctrinated men. The morphed Saudi Wahhabi export.
So as not to disappoint hypognosis, the sales of legal, conceal carry hand guns has increased significantly over the last few years… this case proves the adage "… all it takes to stop a bad man is a good man (or woman) with a gun…). This is the third news report of a similar circumstance in that few days here in the U.S. of a legally armed citizen stopping a a person (or persons) bent on wreaking havoc. One was an 80 year old Grandma who stopped a home invasion by 3 criminals (on actually survived the encounter).

The legally armed man in the incident herein reported was also the COO of the large company as well as a volunteer member of the local police auxiliary who had a weapon nearby. All who have investigated say the Muslim would have continued to kill and behead others until being stopped. Anyone care to wait the average of 18 minutes for police to respond?
have the black people started rioting yet.
