Are these groups exclusive to white brits or brits in general and if so does anyone know the percentage of these groups who aren't white and are they generally welcome into these groups?

I am not Welsh but have lived here since my mid-teens, which is nearly 50 years now. Most of the ragging that goes on between different peoples in the UK is just that....just teasing. But perhaps those South Walians that you met Obiter had just got fed up with the same ragging, year in, year out.

I am intrigued by your splitting of Wales though. South Walians became aggressive according to you, so therefore it must mean that North Walians didn't ?

Perhaps they did but not in a language that you could understand Obiter !
@ mikey no not really, I'm not obsessed with colour or lack there of.
Oh dear !
Mikey; Dw i'n siarad Cymraeg yn iawn.
I have never, nor would I ever describe you as obsessed with colour Retro.
I just thought that if there lots of non-whites, it might have been obvious, thats all. I hope I have not caused any offence...its just that you are the only person on here that has been to the UKIP Conference ! Perhaps I might go next year...as an observer only of course !
mikey no offence taken, and if you go next year I would love to share a cup of coffee with you -black of course lol!

Do you see what your grenade of a question has done?

;-)
lol Retro !
Wow this is very interesting and I'm learning more than I do from the dubious Daily Mail.
Notice how Mikey studiously avoids any comments made in Welsh, even though he claims to have lived there for nearly 50 years.

Some very interesting answers from some very interesting people.

As many of you can guess I only do politics from a distance/on the surface as have limited knowledge (Interest to be honest) but am learning especially from my fellow "Ab-users" so thanks for that and at least we all get huddled in a "Room" and have a talk/debate which is worth it's weight in gold especially with the cold nights looming.

Okay so bar ukip, do you think the edl/bnp and other splinter groups would welcome non whites if they also believed in the "Cause"? I'm sure some of you are aware of some non whites being invited into certain football hooligan groups in the 80's which is similar but not if you know what i'm saying.

sp1814 It appears that anything in this section has the potential to be a "Hand grenade" "Ied" or "Nuclear Bomb" depending on which group you mention and whether they're in the news at that time :) But such is life and we'd probably get the same debates in the pub/march/flower show depending on who was there :)
I haven't understood your Welshcomments Obiter, as I don't speak the language. That is in common with 99% of the people here on AB. If you want to be understood and noticed, you had better use the lingua franca of English (!)

If what you say is important, perhaps you would provide a translation for everybody to enjoy ? I have tried and according to google its :::

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Welsh-English+translation&;rls=com.microsoft:en-GB:%7Breferrer:source?%7D&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&;sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7ADFA_en&gfe_rd=cr&ei=64cpVKDlPInCbKn0gOAP&gws_rd=ssl

It may be true of the 99% of people on AB but surely a greater percentage of ABers in Wales would understand.

For the benefit of all I shall provide a translation.

"Dw i'n siarad Cymraeg yn iawn"

"I speak Welsh well"

Here's another one you may wish to take to heart:

"Paid a malu cachu"

"Stop talking ***"
obiter, at the last census, only 19% of the whole population of wales said they could speak welsh.
Thanks Obiter...I'm not sure if the asterixis are yours or ABs but I shall now ignore you, for being unnecessarily rude. What a credit you are to our Welsh speakers !

Bye bye.
Mush...don't confuse him/her !
By the way, I am not Welsh, nor have I ever set foot in Wales. I learned the language solely on the basis of, "Know thy enemy".
// I shall now ignore you, for being unnecessarily rude.//

I'm sobbing into my beer!☺

this, maybe?

It all depends on what purpose the group serves; some are more politically leant than others but rest assured all right wing groups, political or not aren't just made up of white skinheads/football hooligans looking for a fight.

Look at the group 'Britain First' - it attracts more traffic to its Facebook page than the Conservative party. Its main element seems to be exposing extreme Islamic behaviour in the UK. Because of this it gains a lot of support from other ethnic groups in the UK such as Hindus, Jews and Eastern Europeans. It also attracts interest from other EU countries concerned about these issues.

There are certainly non white members in the EDL as well; lets not forget that a lot of non whites in the UK are now 3rd or 4th generation and woven into the fabric of our country.
