Personally I don't don't think he's right, too honest for a start, not one decent fraud conviction, clearly has no idea how to fiddle figures. How does he think he's going to get on in the financial dept of the EU?

Serves as leader of House of Lords and leader of Conservatives in the House

So none, so just ripe for an EU gravy train position.

Tried to resign as Education Minister a couple of years ago, Cameron wouldn't let him. Didn't want to go to Europe, said he wanted to stay in the UK. Was described as ineffectual as leader of the House of Lords. Sounds like an ideal candidate to follow Mandlesome, Kinnock, etc.
