Are the Duke & Duchess right to expect privacy from watching cameras, when they choose to allow their nanny to walk young Prince George in public parks?

Or is this just a reasonable reaction by Prince William taking into consideration his mothers untimely death, fleeing the paparazzi?

I know it was in a public place, BUT, I think it's wrong to "stalk " a nanny and baby. That's sick. !
Stalking anybody shouldn't be allowed anywhere.
they seem quite generous re official photo-shoots. They (and their family) should be allowed a little respite, imo.

One has to ask, why do they choose public parks when they have acres of private land on which to walk?
a bit of respect for their child's privacy and hope that even with his privileged birth and he will meet more "ordinary" children is surely to be applauded.
Yes, they are perfectly right to expect privacy for their child.
@aog. Maybe they don't want George to be in isolation.
Yes, they are right to expect to have the same privacy FOR THEIR CHILDREN as any other parents. if they kept the children on their own land at all times, the next thing would be the papers asking "What's wrong with Prince George" and "Do they think they are better than the rest of us?"
All babies look the same to me - how do we know (or care) if it is really George and not a decoy?

AOG - "One has to ask, why do they choose public parks when they have acres of private land on which to walk?"

The Duke and Duchess have said many times that they want George to enjoy as normal a life as possible for as long as possible.

This includes walking in public parks where his nanny can chat to other mums and nannies, and George can see and interact with other toddlers.

The poor little sould will spend enough of his life being within sight of security guards without denying him this brief opportunity to be like other small boys.

You wouldn;t condemn him to walking vast swathes of parkland with his nanny and security, and not another child in sight - would you?
Not so long ago anyone, even the child's relatives, waving a camera in the direction of a child would have been arrested.

Oh Andy you are not naive enough to believe that Mss Royal Nanny will be stopping to have a chat with her from number 12, and little Prince George joining other little ones on a go on the swings.

Lovely if this could be so, but I am afraid it is not possible, due to the position in life that he has been born into.

And don't you think that he is already constantly in sight of security guards, even when out being pushed in his pram in public parks?

Of course not if this could be so, but it isn't, do you really think that anyone, children or other nannies will be allowed within feet of the young Prince?

I am not aware that anyone would have been arrested, looked on with scorn maybe, but then this is still the case and 'not so long ago' as you suggest.
AOG - "Of course not if this could be so, but it isn't, do you really think that anyone, children or other nannies will be allowed within feet of the young Prince?"

Absolutely I do.

I think the modern royals, especially Kate, having had a 'normal' upbringing, will want to ensure as much normality as possible.

I don;t imagine George's pushchair has a royal crest on the side - in that rea of London he will seem to be like dozens of other tots who are taken out by mums or nannies. The only difference will be the sharp-eyed gentlemen with short hair and large muscles who are always quite nearby.

I think William, having seen what a rarified and stilted upbringing his father had - and the effect on him as an adult, will want to make very sure that his own son is sapred that raft of neuroses that come from being 'different'.
// Or is this just a reasonable reaction by Prince William taking into consideration his mothers untimely death, fleeing the paparazzi? //

so long as the nanny isnt pushing the pram half-cut, the Royal Babe should be safe. ( as she hitches up her long skirts and flees those awfull paparazzi )
was he in the public park to play with other children ? if not. keep him in his own private grounds ( of which there are many ), it's impossible to keep him secluded from the public since the day he was born and paraded about to the world press, the royals like many celebrities court the press when it suits them .
If I went taking piccies of a kid in a park I bet the Rozzers would have me banged up before the first shutter closed.
.

Yeah someone has suggested the child is a Royal Decoy !
wow ! think of the headline

Then don't you think before he had seen what a rarefied and stilted upbringing his father had, he would have first noticed his upbringing, and took measures himself to withdraw both himself, his wife and children from the limelight, and live an ordinary life in a four bedroom semi.?
you don't need a 4 bed semi surely, 3 beds would be adequate ?
