Chilling evidence, if we needed it, of the rise of the far right here in Britain. The BNP may be in tatters after losing its leader and only Euro MEP but coming right up behind are this awful lot.

I am used to being in a smallish minority here on AB, and I have broad shoulders. But I hadn't expected so many to speak against me, on this thread of the rise of the Far Right. This rise is to be deplored by every sensible democratic person but according to many on here today, its the fault of me and the Labour Party that is to blame for these crop-and-knuckled-headed racists and thugs. Replace immigrants and Muslims, for Jews, and we could be back in 1933.

Your story about Gandhi amuses me but doesn't surprise me in the least. We have a lovely new Post Office and shop in the village, and people are referring to as the "New P****s" when the owners are Hindus of East African origin !
As you say...some people are just thick !
