Maybe you saw this story recently. I missed it coz I was away, but it's caused quite a stir locally.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2790020/sainsbury-s-told-lesbian-couple-stop-kissing-leave-supermarket-customer-complained.html

How do we feel about PDAs generally?

The local students are having "kiss ins" where everyone is encouraged to stand outside Sainsburys and snog their pals (same gender pals, obviously, given the context).

Cross-posted with retrochic.
I have to say joggerjayne this is one of the best titles I've seen so far on AB!
Were they vampire lesbians?
I could just about stomach a heterosexual couple "snogging " in the supermarket, a couple of Lesbians less so, but a couple of gays......no way.
aren't lesbians gay? I think so, sqad.....

I thought its a great title for a novel, but you are right, better for an Indie band.
Retro and Andy. I know what your saying, its a difficult one for me. Ive got no issues with same sex couples but I cant help finding it distasteful to see this in public. In a similar way tho, I feel uncomfortable seeing hetro couples going over the top in public. AND I would also find it out of order if there were such thing as a hetro sexual pride march. I would hazzard a guess that the snogging lesbians werent just having a quick peck.
DT....I am no expert on homosexuality but i thought that....homosexual women were Lesbians and homosexual men were gay.

Correct me if i am wrong.
That whole thing sounds like a setup, including the unidentified worried Mum.

Baz, yes it does.

And for that observation (plus the slight touch of obsequiousness) you get a BA.

Gay can be used in the generic sense as well as for men, lesbians for women and then there are folk like me, a lesbian trapped in a man's body!
Affection is fine. A peck on the cheek, holding hands etc. Overtly sexual behaviour - snogging, ar5e groping etc, isn't - in my opinion.

That goes for anyone. The sexuality of the participants is irrelevant.
Question Author
Oh, heck ... I've just noticed that Retro mentioned the title first.

***, ***.

Okay, big thank you to Retro, but Baz gets BA for the pop group suggestion.
Actually, thinking about it now, Ive held hands with girlfriends in public and Ive seen gay couples holding hands in public....not a problem.
Ive kissed girlfriends in public and seen gay couples kiss in public....not a problem.
Ive seen hetro couples going at it hammer and tongues in public...THATS a problem, same as gay couples going hammer and tongues in public.
Keep THAT at home, gay or straight, we dont want to see it.
Aldi and the Lesbians or Lidl and the Lesbians has a better ring to it....

For a book title, 'Wait, Rose is a Lesbian.'

Tesco's simply, 'We're into Horses.'
DT....LOL
crikey - thank you jj

jj - i did wonder about the [i]obsequiousness] reference to me in this particular instance ( although i sometimes exhibit , servile compliance - lol :-)
