No. I think they'll all come on here, today, and admit they were wrong yesterday. And promise not to come out with any more pedantic nonsense till after Christmas.
The people who live in the parts of the country where this is happening know the truth. It is NOT racist to tell the truth as you see it, some politicians should consult the people who put them where they are & NOT just spout party lines, GET A GRIP.

Unfortunately for some the Lexicon is far more important than the message from the people especially one that they dont like.

Another Politician prepared to Tell it as it is,
The 'liberal right-on brigade' will be self destructing since they could never critcise a disabled person, for anything.
Im a bit worried that a derivative of swamped is now being applied to joggers....
From the link:
"Following a rebuke from Downing Street, he (Fallon) backtracked on his comments"...and..."the Archbishop of Canterbury issued an apparent criticism of Mr Fallon, saying he was worried about the language being used in the immigration debate....priests were reporting an upsurge in racist abuse and said immigration should not be treated as a ‘deep menace’ that is going to overwhelm the country."
So, Cameron gave Fallon a rollocking and immigration is not a swamping menace.
This is precisely (a) what I suggested yesterday that Fallon deserved and (b) support for my view that swamping and immigration should not be conflated.
oh well, wrong again, lol.
Was Fallon 'rebuked'? Yes.
Did he 'backtrack'? Yes.
Does anyone else think tying immigration and swamping is the wrong approach? Yes.
So just what is 'wrong'?
Baldric, he looks out of his tree! :-)
Quizmonster, have you been to Boston (Lincs) recently?

our company is there 3-4 times a week - the changes over the past 6 years or so are profound. not all bad, it has to be said; if the birthrate was not as high as it now is, Pilgrim Hospital's maternity (and support) services would have closed long ago.

Oddly enough, Mushroom, I was offered a post at Boston High School quite a few years ago, but have not visited since. I chose not to take the offer up in the end. I do believe that it has quite a high proportion of immigrants now, which I suspect is because of the agricultural employment opportunities in the surrounding area.
It is often claimed that these are the very jobs that native-born people simply don't want and/or refuse to take. Accordingly, it's just as well that there is somebody there to pull up leeks, flowers or whatever and keep the growers in business.
As you say, the changes are "not all bad" and that is my precise point throughout this thread.
yes, it's annoying, the thought of all those crops rotting in the fields before Labour flooded the country with cheap, er, labour.
I take it, then, that the local Job Centre - or whatever it's called in these halcyon days of IDSmithism - is awash every week with native Bostonians demanding farm-work!
Fallon apologised because the Prime Minister told him to do so.

The Liberal right on brigade (LROB) as you call them were just echoing the Prime Minister. You seem to be suggesting that the people agreeing with Cameron are politically to the left.

That makes no sense at all. The people who supported Cameron rebuking Fallon did so because he was right. Fallon went off the Party line, and the Prime Minister had to call out his error.

Perhaps they should all save time and rebrand as UKIP asap.
