Your conclusion is wrong. It does not prove UKIP are not racist because they have a Sihk members.
It proves that Sikhs can be racist.
Which we already know

Do you think that this gentleman's ethnic origins confirm that UKIP are free of racists?
Or that UKIP as a party is not fundamentally racist, unlike, say the BNP, NF or Britain First.
I don't believe that UKIP is fundamentally racist, but I would be equally surprised if anyone pointed at this man as proof that the party were not attractive to some who indeed are racist.
It falls dangerously close to "I can't be racist, some of my best friends are black"...something that I thought had been consigned to the dustbin of socialogical history.
I hope its not rearing its head again...

UKIP constantly have to apologise for its members' racist utterences, and have expelled several members for racist behaviour. More so than any of the other parties.
They are trying desperately to clean up their image, but the racists are attracted to the Party, so the racist remarks and expultions will continue.
A few gullible people are taken in by UKIPs PR, but most can see through it.

Just been looking at the local politics behind this.
// Coun Singh Sehmi may be the incumbent but he faces stiff competition to win back his seat or even come second. Both Tory candidates - Roger Bailey and Shabbir Ahmed - are in with a chance while the second Labour candidate, Richard Brown, could oust his party colleague. //
In the May elections, Mr Sehmi lost his seat to a fellow Labour Candidate. There were no UKIP candidates in that election. He resignation is therefore probably sour grapes - rejected by the electorate, betean by his own party.

The problem UKIP have is that they do attract racist supporters because of their euro-sceptic, immigration-sceptic policies. That doesn't make them a racist organisation, or their policies racist policies.
It's cheap shot, lazy thinking - like dismissing the Greens as just a bunch of tree hugging hippies.

Major 'fail' on your understanding of racism there AOG as pointed out by Gromit.
As for UKIP being racist......they have been proven to be on several occasions. Farage is content for his most right wing members to spout racist views, he then sits back to judge to condemnation and if it is fairly unanimous, he distances himself from it either by condemnation or a sacking.
If all you potential UKIP voters need a wake up call, here's one:

Oh so it doesn't quite have the same effect to use the term "I can't be racist because some of my best friends are Asian"?
Why bring the word black into the argument?
