Tax rises to line their pockets; well they would want that wouldn't they.

Why not try trimming the massive fat out the administration first. Culling a couple of useless managers on 100k+ would fund plenty of Nurses and ops.

And there are plenty of them believe me (Unnecessary management layers that is)

A war on Waste is what is required.

Many large organisations suffer from the Dolly Parton Syndrome .i.e TOP HEAVY. Get rid of some of the chiefs and keep the Indians.
Do you have any evidence of overpaid / superfluous management YMB, or are you just having another rant?
Taxpayers are burdoned enough as it is. Share the load, patients pay by obligatory health insurance for all, as in USA.

Close relatives work in the NHS - in differing jobs and in differing parts of the country.

Why, do you think I am wrong then?
Quite agree ymb.
I didn't say you were wrong, I merely asked for proof which seems to be the heresay of a few relatives. Do you have any evidence based facts?
I also have relatives working the NHS Zac but there isnt enough room on here to explain all the stuff they see go on. However you seem reluctant to believe anything is wrong with the NHS that a few more billion quid wont sort out. Then a few more billion in a couple of years and so on.

LOL...don't be silly, this is State medicine, built up and maintained by the Unions. Do you think that the Unions will allow their NHS members to have their salaries cut?..........not on your life.

Let the "rich" pay by increasing the taxes.
"Do you think that the Unions will allow their NHS members to have their salaries cut?"

Zac will want proof !

I wasn't thinking of reducing their salaries Squad, I was thinking of firing them.

Not only does that trim the fat but handing out the good old tin-tac will make the others think twice before striking and sitting doing nowt.
YMG......LOL....if you fired the administrators, the vacuum would quickly be filled by Doctors who are even worse at administration than administrators.

Being an administrator/doctor/medical politician is a big deal in the NHS, it means not seeing patients and for that you could add £100,000 onto your salary which is pensionable.

A nice little earner called "merit awards."
the NHS needs professional management not 17 levels of empire building public sector "managers" who couldn't manage a pi55 up in the proverbial brewery.
