Espcially as at least one of their MPs holds them in utter contempt.

Is Labour Still The Party For Working People?
---------------------
My @r$e! They're pretty much the same as the Tories, it's just that they have an insipid leader who cannot connect with his party nor his electorate.
ymb...why should I change my views just to please you ? There are relatively few Labour supporters on here, as Ed's little Poll recently demonstrated. I am doing my bit, and shall continue to do do, without your permission.

This my view...you should know that by now, so why bait me ? Do you think I am going to collapse under pressure from the likes of you ?
The likes of me, just what does that mean?
I'm not biting YMB !
And I was not baitingyou at all, am I too not allowdd comment?

I was making an observation based on the posts from others who do seem to be openkng tgeir eyes. Do you honestly think any if the main parties are for the people any more?
You made the commentso tell me

What did you mean by 'the likes of you'

YMB and. Mikey. Have a read of the article I gave a link to earlier. The GB public are disenfranchised by the whole political system.

Careful 10ClarionSt...logic and rational isn't always popular here on AB !
Thatcher brought in the no-such-thing-as-society every-one-for-themself attitude and this has now become the norm for all Parties. The MP's expenses scandal and the Bankers' Bonus Brigade have perfectly exemplified this, to the detriment of the country generally. Only a Revolution will change it now, and that's extremely unlikely.
Still no answer as to why you posted that disparaging remark then mickey?

And you last post on logic, well you seem to defy logic when it suits you dont you?
Labour have always had the workers' best interests at heart.

One one occasion the shop steward was haranguing the workers at a mass meeting in the factory yard when the directors passed by in their limos.

"Look at them, brothers", cried the shoppie, "smoking their big fat cigars while you just have to smoke Woodbines. When we come to power you will all be smoking cigars".

A small voice from the back said, "I like Woodbines, I don't like cigars", to which the reply was,

"When we come to power you'll smoke what you're bloody well told to smoke!"

Hahahaha
It's all The good ladies fault.

My god cant tge left think up something a bit better than that?
Canary, I agree with you.

All a potential MP wants is your vote then when they 'get in' they have to toe the party line irrespective of their own promises to the constituency.

To answer Nigel Farage (the OP), no, labour are not and haven't been for some years, the party for the working people.
Well, Farage keeps telling us that he is "breaking the mould of British politics" and other tosh. Lets hope he doesn't have to rely on these two in the future :::

although the Conservatives haven't actually won an election since 1992
Humbersloop. There have been 20 by-elections since they took power in 2010, and they have only won one of them. As the Tories now have two less MPs in Westminster, due to action by UKIP, they don't sound like the Party that will win next May.
20 by-elections, so what. What is more relevant is how many of the seats of the 20 have changed party. Obviously the Tories are down 2 with UKIP but what about the 18 others....
looks like one Labour gain from the Tories DTC, otherwise no change
