Dear Tora Tora Tora, Let's end this ping-pong ball "debate" ASAP - you have the last word after this unless you wish to be extremely provocative. You admire The Grocer's Daughter who became a Technical Technician in a Confectionar y Company before marrying a multimillion are and became Prime Minister after the Ted Heath's defeat by the miners. It has now been...

Get rid of the idiot Millie for starters. By the way, Labour doesn't need to raise it's game. The CONS just need to carry on with their game LOWERING plan they have adopted for nearly 5 and they will disappear. We've now had Lab/Con/ LIMP over the past few years and they are ALL krap. Not a sliver of daylight between them all. We need real change.
It is impossible for Labour to 'raise it's game'
Only a fool would come on air and claim to be 'confident' about election victory.
Labour's big advantage is the current chancellor, possibly the most incompetent in recent memory and a press onslaught against their leader which is unfair but effective And the incompetent handling of the Scottish referendum by the govt which has fuelled SNP popularity and threatened a lot of Labour seats in Scotland although come a national election will the Scottish people heed the 'vote SNP and get the Tories' message
Come to think of it maybe this is one 'cunning Tory plan' which has actually worked :-)

He has failed abjectly to do what he said he would do and is now, irony of ironies, blaming the weakness of the euro zone while continuing to hold the previous govt responsible for a situation which really was at least partly down to circumstances beyond their control. His forecast of a large budget surplus by 2020 makes the growth predictions of Brown and Darling look like blind pessimism
Osborne has been a disaster. He will lose the Conservatives the election because his record is poor.
The Conservatives were hoping the economy would save them, but the austerity measures kept the economy in stagnation for far longer than our European neighbours. The economy is due to go backwards again before May which will be the nail in the Conservatives coffin.

I have said this before on AB but its dave that needs to "raise his game", not Ed.
The Tories have consistently underperformed Labour in almost every Poll since shortly after the 2010 election. Despite all the bad-mouthing in the media, of Labour in general and Ed is particular, the Tories still can't get ahead and remain ahead.
The Americans have a phrase and it goes something like "Its the economy stupid" All the promises that Osborne made have been unfulfilled.
People normally vote with their wallet, so as it stands at the moment, dave will non longer be PM after next May.

Mikey, I agree with you 100%. "It's the economy, stupid" was said by Bill Clinton and that's right. The media (rich supporters of the Tories) are out to get Ed Millibrand just as they went for Brown who had to deal with the Iraq War and the Bankers ruination of the economy but still kept the NHS healthy.
Did you notice that fool Osborne, (who apparently from his "policies" hates the poor, the weak and sick) recently on TV where he was boasting about the increased industrial activity?
He was speaking from from the Bentley Motor Plant! Oh great, I must go out next Black-Friday (supermarket panic ) and buy a Bentley - real gold-plated of course.
Don't worry Ed Millibrand, the canny Scots will vote Labour as will Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and Wales. They are all sick of the London ditatorship.
General Elections are fought by Parties, not their leaders although Ed is more in touch with the people than Cameron.
You'll never walk alone on this site Mikey4444.

The "poor, the weak and sick", not to mention the "old" are such a pain for Osborne and his cronies - it's all our fault for stopping the super-rich getting even richer.
The biggest lie of all is that people are getting older than in the past and this is crippling the NHS. Not true, sly privatisation is doing that. Since the last war or earlier, life expectancy has increased thanks to penicillin (introduced during the last war) and streptomycin (introduced in the 1950's versus TB) etc. Funny how this "age problem" has become top of the media agenda since Cameron took over as elected dictator.
It would appear from "Care Homes" and certain hospitals that the unspoken agenda is to kill-off the old and sick.
Unfortunately, the young will only benefit once thro' inheritance then there will really be no money, energy or jobs left and we will degenerate below our current 3rd World (sorry "Developing Nations") status.
Dopes who don't understand the vital importance of us interegrating further into the EU, not leaving it, should do the Tories in via UKIP.

Start telling the truth & not treat the British like Idiots, Don't just talk about cutting down on Immigration, " DO IT" The Tax evaders, pay or get out, if you are a member of the House, don't expect the Country to wipe you @rse, if your not up to the job, get out, Stop Zero Contracts, The Big 6, they either drop their prices or be put back to Public Ownership, Fuel Prices, the cost of a Barrel has come down, why does the Pump Prices still stop the same.
Dear Bouncer33,
Thanks for the compliment re "best answer" (BA)-very kind.
I don't come on here with that in mind, just to speak my mind.
I agree with you - Labour supporters no chance of BA from the Iron Maiden (TTT).
While I'm here, I wonder why the deprived areas like Cornwall, Devon and Isle of Wight never vote Labour - always Tory or (forgive the joke) LibDems.
No answer needed - there is no logical explanation as they would vote for a sheep or cow rather than Labour. Ooops they did vote for a cow once and we are still paying the price for her destruction of British Industry.
