Italy dont tow them back because they know that the migrants won't be staying in Africa, instead they will head to France with the ultimate aim of the UK where the likes of Canary will shower them with benefits and houses and cars.

So it will be Frances problem initially followed by ours.

The number of immigrants to each of Italy,Germany and France is many times the number that get to the UK. Contrary to public opinion only a small % actually try to get to the UK , the huge majority just want to get to Europe. Also at least 90% come to work not to claim benefits and wages are higher in Italy, Germany and France so they go there.
We have the Channel as a barrier so we can see those trying to get over. Other EU states have no natural barrier so the immigrants are 'invisible' once they get to land.
The last 3 days are not unusual, far more get in undetected every day via the Med from North Africa. It is estimated only 1 in 10 at most is detected.

And why do you think they want to get to Europe? Because it is the stepping stone to the UK (the land of milk and honey).

Then if that is true why do so many sleep rough in Calais and then take great risks in crossing the Channel?

Apparently not because many manage to get here. And how many do you think are invisible when they get here, even our Government don't know?

Many have settled in other European countries so you can't say they are getting to Europe just to get to the UK.
