Just watched the ITV News and the Prime Minister, apparently, refuses to join a TV debate unless the Green Party are included. I personally believe the Green Party will never be a viable party fit to run this country on the world stage.
I and my family have always voted Tory. Never again will I vote for the Tory party whilst it is led by a gutless chinless wonder. Millipede and Farage have both said that Cameron is running scared to enter into a TV debate. How can I not agree and defend the Prime Minister's capitulation. He bottled out of a previous TV debate. Even Clegg, who I consider a wet had the moral fibre and backbone to stand up to Farage who ran rings round him.At least he had the guts to stand up and state his case.
Rant over.Never felt so badly let down by the Tory Party in my life.

Er, so let the Greens join the debate.

If only all the country' problems were this easy to solve.
"Never felt so badly let down by the Tory Party in my life."

On the bright side, this might give you a glimpse into what it's like to be a Labour supporter?
Your personal beliefs aren't really news.
Sadly, retrocop, I have to agree. Pathetic. Any excuse to duck out, because he knows that Farage will make mincemeat of him.
I didn't see this but I don't understand why you feel let down. I don't think the Greens will ever be a really viable party either, but perhaps Dave thinks they should be given an opportunity equal to others in a similar position. Sounds fair to me.
Aaah.....another two on the road to Damascus. :-)
would you not be more worried if he'd said He wouldn't take part if the green party are included?
It's hard to see why the Greens can't be allowed in if UKIP is there.
They have one seat, UKIP have two. Not a lot of difference.
Bring Geordie Galloway in too and show some Respect.
Perhaps there could be heats and a final :-)
As Gromit says, if Cameron is bluffing his bluff is easily called.

Exactly.
If UKIP are going to win the working class vote and are a bigger threat to Labour than to the Conservatives, like I keep reading on AB and in the Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph, then I would have thought Miliband would chicken out, and not Cameron.
maybe some ABers and the DM and DT are wrong, and Cameton knows it.
The number of seats in parliament wasn't the only criteria. That's why the Greens and several other parties weren't included by an INDEPENDENT panel. Of course Cameron is running scared of Farage.

Surely no town has ever even elected a Green Party MP.

Oh wait ... hang on .. thinks, thinks ... HERE !!
///The neo-Nazi UKIP party should be outlawed IMHO///

ha-ha-ha.(good one)
Speaking in 2009 Mr Cameron said: “I think it is a thoroughly good thing that these debates are going to take place. I've been pushing for two years for this to happen, I've always believed in live television debates. I think they can help enliven our democracy, I think they will help answer people's questions, I think they will help crystallise the debate about the change this country needs and I'm delighted that they are taking place''. So why are you running scared now Cameron, is it because Farage will run rings round you!!!
I am amazed. Well not really, because nothing that Cameron comes out with these days would surprise me. If he insists on the Greens taking part he should also insist on the SNP and Plaid Y Defaid being included. Their representation in parliament is greater than that of the Greens.
Farage would probably run rings around Cameron (and Clegg) on immigration, because the Coalition have a very poor record.

However, the debates cover many subjects, and I don't think Farage would do well on the other subjects. He tends to blame everything on immigration and the public would get fed up of the same answer.

I suspect that Cameron would perform in the debates much better than Miliband, so he may be shooting himself in the foot by avoiding the TV debates.
The Greens get far too much air time as it is, imo, way out of proportion for one seat. Caroline Lucas seems to be on every time I turn on the TV.
It's patently obvious that he's added this particular caveat in order to avoid being mauled and left in a crumpled heap by Farage.
I doubt he's even accounted for Miliband because that would be akin to being savaged by a tortoise.
chilld - he is a bit of a limp lettuce.
