Will This Alter Anyone's Opinion?
Or will those who (like Rupert Murdoch) think that all Muslims are responsible for the attack continue to believe so?
What on Earth was Ahmed Merabet doing working as a policeman, protecting the French day to day?

And why on Earth would Lassana Bathily hide Jewish supermarket shoppers, risking his own life?

Is it possible that this is a truer picture of ordinary Muslims than the current narrative leads us to believe?
I'm not saying that these two men are remarkable - indeed, since the stories have been all over the news, they've not been mentioned once on AB (to my knowledge)...

From the statements in the press from Muslim organisations, they are as much against these atrocities as the rest of us. Yet again, the actions of a few extremists are blackenng the name of the orderly majority.

J K Rowling’s response is far too simplistic as are the responses here. There is something in what he said. Change can only really come from within, and until such time as Muslims stand, en masse, in defiance of people like Anjem Choudary, who elects himself to speak for Islam, the radicals will continue to wreak havoc in the world and nothing will change.
Niemöller’s words spring to mind.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

The freedom to change your mind is not one of 'The Western Values' I see touted, but may be honourable if done truthfully and not through coercion.
