Yesterday I posted a thread regarding a US national wanting a sex change operation on our NHS.

But in the true balance of things should this British woman also have had a 'designer vagina' op costing the NHS £2,500?

The report says she was referred for a gynaecological complaint and was surprised to be offered the surgery. I think the true story is she had a medical complaint that needed treating and the labiaplasty as part and parcel of that.

On a serious note I don't think the NHS should fund the any sort of proceedure to help create more people. Nor should it fund any sort of cosmetic surgery for vanity.

All I can say is her boyfriend must either be myopic or desperate. I'm sure even the daily mail recognizes the fact that one cannot get pregnant at 61 by having ones vagina overhauled. She probably went through the menopause around 10 years ago.

TTT, an example of the operation is that some women have overly large labia that causes real discomfort and can interfere with their normal daily life. An operation would reduce the labia to a more usual size.

We had mostly majority support for a homosexual marriage, with the same age difference Stephen Fry and Eliiot Something but only sparse support for a heterosexual marriage.

Sqad I don't think anyone is bothered if these two get married or not - the subject of the OP is the woman getting labiaplasty on the NHS. She could however have had a genuine medical need to have the procedure done.

I don't know why she had the labioplasty but as a guess it was for recurrent vaginal infections.

I still think that a homosexual marriage is applauded whilst a heterosexual one with almost the same "ingredients" is scorned.
