Seen a bit on the news about this. Operation Look will be rolled out across the UK to warn people of the dangers of taking chances at level crossings. TBH the amber flashing lights and lowering barriers are warning enough for me.
Is this a worthwhile exercise or a case of 'you can't educate pork' ?

All of them were taken within the county where I worked so it had more bearing.
I remember taking extra caution on the 40 mile drive home, but no doubt went back to normal bad habits the next day. Not that I'm fast or take un-necessary risks!

I don't think that most of us really appreciate the speed that a train moves at. One minute there is no train and the next it is bearing down on them.
My dad was a train driver from about 1949 until 1990 and never hit anyone, but other drivers did (many of them suicides) and the drivers never managed to return to work due to PTSD.
