Does any party listen (much) to the voter ?

Each relies on the constituencies that are unlikely to vote for the other lot, to supoprt them no matter what, and tells the close run ones what they want to hear. But to actually listen, or let the masses have an effect ?!? You'll be saying that candidates have to represent their constituents next, and then where would we be ?

Not really. If Labour do well enough in England they'll be able to cobble together a coalition or ad hoc voting pact with the SNP, which the SNP will use to extract further special privileges for Scotland. A horrible prospect for everyone except the SNP, who must surely be the only party looking forward to the election.

Independence can't come soon enough.
