@mikey

I've heard it said that many of the "go to every match" crowd, that is a season ticket-owning (price of a second hand car), multiple trips abroad, on top of family holidays type person is typically a City of London stockbroker/futures trader. Not short of dosh, in other words.

Rembember how Thatcherism turned "barrow boys" into "Loadsamoneys"?

No wonder German cars sell so well here.

Institutionally is not in my dictionary.
@divebuddy

//Nobody has explained why the "fans" seem OK about their own team being largely foreigners, with quite a few of them black. Also that a lot of the home grown players are black as well. //

The difference their is that the choice of foreign players is not theirs to make.

The situation at the platform was something they *could* control and look what they did with it.

In yesterday's AOG thread, the woman made a tasteless historical reference to have a go at what she perceived as the geezer's "attitude" problem. I would hate to be on the receiving end of that treatment but, at the end of the day, it has no effect on my employment prospects.

Serious racism is about things at that level or, as in this case, directly impacting someone's ability to go about their daily business.

Perhaps the thing which really grates about PC-ness is that, all along, we know how many people there are, out there, who only pay lip service to it.

Mikey, your description of a football hooligan, you seem to be stuck in the past and think of skinheads wearing doc marten boots etc

If I remember rightly you were saying a few months ago that you can't understand why your nephew sits in his room playing on his Xbox or Playstation instead of being out in the fresh air climbing trees and building dens!

Things have changed since your days old pal
Since when did everybody live in London?
@Daisynonna

You didn't address your post to anyone. Who do you want to reply to yours?
Anybody who has an opinion.
OK, I will say that everybody has lived on London ever since Thatcherism encouraged us to chase the housing market and it was those high-earning stockbroker types who started property speculation in the first place.
Off-topic for this thread though.

For what it's worth though, it is a French tube train in the clip. So I'm stumped as to what point you were trying to make.

To whom are you addressing that Hypno?
To you, Daisny

;)

Have absolutely no idea of what you are trying to say.
Well to be fair, you started it, Daisy.
What did I start Talbot?
I can't see anything Daisy started??!?
This one, Daisny

The randomness, ummmm.
Ohhhhhhhhhh...okay.
Ummmmm...( 22:36 )....alas, you are correct of course. So sad though.

We need to address the causes of racism in our society, rather than try to fire-fight at football grounds, and that means education and more education.

The 20-year-old is a former pupil of £11,500 per term Millfield School

So what do they teach them at the £11,500 per term Millfield School?
