I was livid to read some of the so called 'Manifesto' Written by meddling left wing Bishops. They tried to claim last night on Newsnight that they were just trying to encourage people to vote to counteract the odious Russel Brand and that it was not party political. I will just pick one comment from this Document which got my back up was

"It is good that unemployment has not risen.as high as was predicted or as high as past experience suggested it would". Don't they know that unemployment has NOT risen at all in the last 5 years it's just dropped massively (much to the disappointment of the two Eds).

It is said that mostanglicans are Conservative supporters. Let's hope they react to this drivel. "Render unto Caesar" and all that, ie. The Church should not interfere with Government.

Just heard in the news that unemployment has fallen again. Lowest for 6 years.

I thought the bishops on Newsnight were responding to the criticism they had already had and we're making excuses. I was going on the written document. Anyway, the whole thing was a political ploy and many people think the Church should not interfer with Politics. That's the point I was making, whether it was right or left wing bias.

The Labour Party brought in the minimum wage, soon after they won the landslide 1997 Election. The Tories had plenty of time to do likewise, between 1979 and 1997 but didn't think it was necessary. They now agree that it is a Good Idea, despite voting against while they were in opposition.

You consistently offer that pathetic statement as evidence that the Labour Party is the Party of the working man and each time you’ve been reminded that they also abolished the 10p tax rate for low earners and rifled the working man’s pension fund Giving with one hand and taking with the other is of no benefit whatsoever. I’m convinced you think the reader is stupid – or at least you hope he’s forgetful. The Labour Party is not the Party of the working man, and the sooner the working man abandons his antiquated vision of a non-existent ideology in favour of reality the better off he will be.

If Britain keeps thus up, we'll see the unions on the rise again. A repeat of the 1920s, for the 2020s.

Or a voice call. With my chronic fatigue and tendency to sleep heavily at that hour of the morning, I haven't got an icecube's chance, if I ever do find work.

Note: I'm not on the unemployment statistics. Too much savings to qualify. When the granparents were all alive I had no savings and there were interest rates people could live off. The one time in my life I come into money effin Gordon Brown and the BofE zero the interest rates. I firmly believe they will stay low until I am skint again.

Naomi........alas, we will always be on opposite sides in political matters, but what I said about the minimum wage was true. I will never forget the huge landslide Victory for the Labour Party in 1997, and in subsequent elections.

But I have never pretended that everything is always rosy under Labour, as you, presumably, would not say that everything was marvelous under the Tories. But surely its a matter of balance ? Judging by the Polls, the majority of people still think, on balance, they will be better off under Labour than under the Tories, although I will be the first to admit that the gap is not huge.

But if you insist that Labour is NOT the party of the "Working Man", which Party is ?
