He refuses to debate with you and you are ignoring him. Reading that, I’m not sure who is refusing to debate with whom – but it sounds like problem solved.

I'd agree - there is a limit to how much 'me me me' I can take from said other poster, so it is probably best for all if we simply don't argue with each other any more.

Yes I might, indeed, well think that and why would I or others not think that to be a potential scenario.
History tells us that it is the usual scenario that ensues when a certain section of society with a ghetto mentality are challenged or taken to task by the authorities for wrong doing
You of all people would refute that though wouldn't you? Must dash will join you later.

//Move the victim not the problem...is that the answer, Sandy?//
No it isnt the answer. It is an answer regularly used by Housing Associations though. Whilst they all make lots of noise about treating anti-social behaviour seriously, the reality is that the cost of investigating this sort of stuff and then bringing a case to Court to have the perpetrators evicted mean that the path of least resistance is often taken and thus the victim is moved.

^I agree – and I disagree with andy-hughes who said // I seriously doubt that is based on over-sensitivity towards one ethnic group - it is more likely an across-the-board absence of funds that is to blame.//
I do think the sensitivities of ethnic minorities are given greater consideration than those of the rest of us.

TIL "Oyinbo"
(Today, I learned…)
On a point of pedantry, I would claim that a ghetto is something you - and others like you - are coralled into. The essence being that, in 1930s Germany and the Pale Of Settlement (Russia), it was largely involutary resettlement.
Actively 'taking' an area is just old fashioned colonialism and I don't need to repeat the regard in which the present day holds that behaviour.
Making yourself at home is a normal human thing to do. Extending that to making an area your own is subtly different but it is hard for me to decide where the line between that an quasi-imperialism belongs.
Don't forget that there are predominanty white towns who don't even like the white people from the town just down the road so picking apart which bits of this behaviour tendency is racially based and which is merely territorial is not always clear cut.
Anyway, I'd guess that part of the "right-on" crowd's plan to do away with racial discrimination and harrassment was probably that there would be no 'payback' behaviour. I cannot begin to guess how much of that there has been but will regard this case as exceptional, otherwise we'd be cut'n'pasting old stories already. I may have been 'sheltered' but my sense is that, nobly, we've had next to no payback for things (of this ilk) done to minorities from the 1950s onwards.
