How can a person change from a 'gay basher' to a 'gay bride' or a 'gay husband'.

The other a paedophile, let's hope they don't want any children when they get out.

Curious that a chap can't exercise his franchise while in prison yet can tie the knot.
I wonder if this consequence of same sex marriage had ever been considered by the authorities?

No, I don't think they should but, I guess if you're serving a life term you take what is available if the Authorities are daft enough to allow it!
You used to be able to tie the knot in prison, although it was around the prisoner's neck.

Jordy, a prisoner can marry and many marriages have taken place inside prison.
The law cannot discriminate between heterosexual and same sex marriages.

Thug who was jailed for 'gay-bashing' murder

Well you know what they say AOG 'the man doth protest too much, methinks'
If you can get past the sensationalist aspect of this story - the respective crimes committed and the apparent relationship between the two perpetrators, then you can be objective.

The punishment by law is incarceration – it does not include denial of rights offered to other prisoners.
So yes, they should be allowed to marry, however bizarre such a proposal may appear, it is still within their rights.
I won't mention the right to vote too, oh dear, I just have :-(
Perhaps I'm being naïve, but if you've committed a crime and are in jail, have you not lost all rights?
Blooming heck Jordy, do not call them scum on here otherwise you will be called by a few??? My views, well what can you say? you are dealing with the H.R.B. The " They have a rights brigade, you can not help but laugh at some of these clown brigades can you.
Psybbo - "Perhaps I'm being naïve, but if you've committed a crime and are in jail, have you not lost all rights?"

Not all of them - including the right to marry - although some rights are denied.
There is always the hope they might kill each other - if they get conjugal rights now and again.
I think you should post this to the tory party they brought this farce to the statute book
I fail to see why any prisoner is allowed to marry whilst serving a prison sentence .
Let them get 'married' and then put each one in solitary.
No...I think they shouldnt be allowed to get married in prison.
The Marriage Act 1983 gave prisoners the right to marry so prisoners have been getting married for 32 years.

Why the commotion now?
