Yes I’m with you entirely, youngmaf.
These youngsters obtained sufficient cash to travel and they had access to their passports which must, for at least for two of them and probably all three, have been obtained on their behalf by their parents. If their parents had no idea what they were up to then that is a shortcoming on their part. Personally I have grave doubts that they were as ignorant of their intentions as they seem to have us believe.
They should not be treated as victims. They knew what they were doing and if they are stupid enough to do it that’s their affair. As has been said, Labour believes that people of 16 should be allowed to vote so they can hardly say that they should not be allowed to freely travel where they wish.
This ridiculous business has now been headline news for more than a week. If anything it was a one-liner on page 94 between the letters and the racing results. If the parents are so distraught at their childrens’ absence they may care to go to look for them in Turkey or Syria.
Once again this is a symptom of the culture clash from which the UK is suffering. Everybody here (especially Muslims) needs to realise that the needs, requirements, foibles and beliefs of Muslims or indeed any other minority, is of little concern to the vast majority of the population. If they want to go off and fight their “Holy War” that is their privilege. And it should be the UK’s privilege to refuse them entry when it all goes pear-shaped and they want to return to Bethnal Green.
