In view of the pending increase in the price of stamps, I was looking at online discount sites. They are quoting prices of up to 11p cheaper on today's current prices. Has anyone bought from any of these sites and are they reliable?

I got some from WH Smith's site a few years back and they were fine. In fact I've still got them. If you stock up on stamps marked 1st and 2nd (that is, no actual price) you can use them forever even if the price has gone up.

jno just looked on their site, expired. Only offering full price now. Thanks anyway.
That's what I do. I bought three books of first class the other day, they'll last a few months

I use a lot on crosswords. I've got six waiting to be posted today and there will be another tomorrow!
oh well, google around, one offer expires, another pops up. The main thing is, they never run out.

I can't speak of individual sites, but as long as they don't seem impossibly cheap they should be legit.
I would triple check any discount stamp firms first , if you read Money Saving Expert a lot of people have fallen for dodgy outfits.

Thanks Mamya, as usual very good advice.
Just a few of the threads re this subject - worth a look through some.

I go through about 40/50 stamps per month, will have to cut back my quizzing I fear.
I did have a browse through MSE and couldn't find any current advice on stgamps, but there may be something hidden there.
I am still using stamps from three christmasses ago and have got older ones than that.
They may not be current threads but surely the alarm bells must sound?

Or maybe not.
I don't know, mamya, in general I think ripoff sites come and go quickly as they're rumbled. But even respectable sites don't always last forever. Probably best to google the name of individual sites and add the word review or complaint or something, and see what comes up.
Good advice also.

Thanks jno, might give it a go.
always check their own P&P rates, of course.

Of course, seen some dodgy ones regarding that.
