Asians/muslims In The News

I am sick to death of the news headlines being dominated by the awful behaviour of Asians and Muslims in this country recently.

Asian men abusing young girls in Oxford has hit the headlines again.

And we have Jihad John and the 3 young girls going to Syria all last week.

Then we had the "sham marriage" story on the news this morning (not all Asians and Muslims I agree). They estimate 10,000 sham marriages a year allowing people to stay in the UK. So in the last 10 years that is 100,000 "extra" people in the country who should not be here (as well as all the other people who should not be here - illegal immigrants etc) .

I live on the edge of Birmingham and we are swamped with bad news caused by Asians and Muslims in the local area as well. Uninsured drivers, benefit fraud, voting fraud, Muslim infiltration of schools, Asian drivers staging "crash for cash" accidents, it goes on and on.

Our politicians (from all parties) have a LOT to answer for as they seemed to have totally ruined this country in the last 30 years or so.

I wondered why muslim men prayed separately from women.....
SP. I don’t understand your thinking. You complain when people speak negatively about Muslims, presumably because in the main they are immigrants and black and so you feel some sort of allegiance to them, and yet Islam demonizes homosexuality, so in effect you’re supporting people who utterly despise you. You can tell me I’m mistaken, but it is confusing….

Incidentally, I googled the term you used. No need for that language. People are entitled to voice their opinions. Smacked legs, sp!
well said VHG
The paradox of Muslims and homosexuality has always been a bit of a conundrum for the chattering classes. People in one of the groups they love and cherish so much would happily see those in another of their favoured groups stoned to death for being the way they are.

Tricky, isn't it? :-)

VHG, Good post, factual and not racist, agree 100%.

I've told you many time before about my feelings about Islam and Muslims, and more than happy to repeat myself, but could you do me a massive favour and print off this post, because whilst I'm happy to explain myself, it's more productive if you have a little crib sheet.

Right...I have no time for the ragtag mob who think that all Muslims are the same. I will never join them in their condemnation, because I know Muslims and grew up with Muslims and I know that not to be the case.

Islamic extremists however are my natural enemy. Islamic extremists throw gay men off buildings. Islamic extremists are lower than scum.

That for me is the difference.

Actually, you've got it wrong.

The chattering classes hate bigots more than they love Muslims.

Which is where the REAL paradox kicks in.

The BNP have more in common with Muslim radicals than they do with Islington Liberals.

In fact, if you strip away the religious part, all ultra right wing ideology and hardline Muslim credo - is exactly the same.

The BNP might want to think about branching out?
mmmm, tetchy. Sorry I spoke.
///and we are swamped with bad news ///

And you lap it up, being addicited to gloom and doom. And as a result you swamp this forum similarly. Much appreciated NOT.

Honest - I'm happy to explain...but I thought I'd already explained at least two or three yes before.

Perhaps it's my failing memory.

But as I said - that's the definitive answer.

I know some may be confused, but it's quite clear to me...Muslims I have no issue with.

The teachings of Islam I have issues with.

Muslim extremists, I have major issues with.

I think Catholocism is a horrible religion which is responsible for a towering amount of hurt even to this day, but I have many Catholic mates and as people I would defend them to the hilt.

To me it's the difference between the people on one hand and the institution on the other.

Oh and another reason I could never be part of the circle jerk is because the same people who decry Islam would be slating the blacks the minute my back was turned.

Seriously - it's 100% true. You ought to see some of the posts I've seen in the past year.
Canary, you regularly complain but you never offer a considered argument. I get the impression that you just want to silence people with whom you disagree.
Lord - I've just had a horrible thought.

I hope no-on thinks I was accusing the contributors to this thread of being vankers (with a 'w').

No, I meant that this was a metaphorical circle jerk.

A metaphorical circle jerk is where a group of people get together to 'spurt their views', and give each other a nice warm fee...

Hmm...I need to rethink this...
“The chattering classes hate bigots more than they love Muslims.”

Then they really do have a problem, sp. The principle that Muslims must demonise homosexuality is not confined to a few radical maniacs. It is part of the teachings of Islam. This is, by most definitions, bigotry. The fact is that neither will live and let live.

I understand your views about the whole of the Muslim population being tainted by the views and actions of a few radicals. Unfortunately this is not entirely the case. Even those of a moderate disposition who are “peace loving and simply want to get on with their lives” hold views and do not condemn practices which are completely unacceptable to the majority of the population in the UK. I explained this at some length in a question a few weeks ago. The treatment of women, homosexuals and young girls are foremost in that list. That is why Islam receives such a bad press and unless and until they change their views they will continue to do so.
Excellent post VHG - couldn't agree more. Fed up with the lot of them !!
Totally agree VHG

I understand what you're saying but I don't believe you are in any way correct.
Sp, the last homosexual who got flung off a roof by the muslim fanatics survived the fall, so the crowd of moderates at the foot of the building finished him off with rocks.
Any 'good' muslim will do the same thing. Their stupid book tells them to and they live by that book.

I hear what you're saying, but it's not actually true.

For it to be true, then we would have to agree that all Muslims are the same.

There's a type of person that believes that, and I'm sure that neither of us are that kind of person.
"I understand what you're saying but I don't believe you are in any way correct."

Have a chat with a few of them, sp. I have - on many occasions.

Ask them their views on the equality of women, on FGM. As was evident when the opinions of Muslims on the Paris slayings were canvassed, many "had sympathy" (according to the survey) with the motives behind the attack. Many interviewed in the street expressed views that I found absolutely outrageous. These were not radical fanatics but normal people interviewed in the street.

Utter tosh, sp
