Jeremy Clarkson Suspended

Just announced on Sky that Clarkson has been suspended by
the BBC following a fracas with a producer.

Amid allegations that the incident involved Clarkson throwing a punch at a male producer while filming in Surrey last week, there was some doubt over when the last three episodes of the current series would be broadcast.

The Radio Times reported that the penultimate episode of the series, due to air on 22 March, had been replaced by a documentary about the Caribbean.

The red blob on Cameron's head is a refer-back to one from some years back and I can't remember if it was meant to be a condom or a gimp mask. (Mind you, he got off lightly, compared to Osborne in the one I'm thinking of).

Physically assaulting a colleague would be a disciplinary offence for most employers, let alone public service ones. And there's no wheedling out of it with accusations of the hurt party triggering the aggression (wind-ups etc.) as these are the things all other employees are expected to take on the chin (or through proper grievance procedings, at least) but which arrogant types would lash out at.

Of course, if the pugilist is the one that management wants shot of anyway…
