What Subject Should I Post On?
52 Answers
I am constantly accused of regular posting on certain subjects, Immigration, Muslims, Homosexuality, and black issues.
If these subject upset some ABers, then how is it that these four subject matters attract the most responses, or should I only post on certain subjects that attract just a minority response?
Or perhaps some of you would rather me not post at all?
So come on all you complainers stand up and be counted.

/// AOG, Put your head above the parapet with such a post and you'll get an few arrows in the eye. I was only giving some advice dear boy. ///
Dear Boy??? please don't be so patronising, was this type of thing discussed only recently?
/// Another piece of advice would....'Stop thinking everyone is having a go'. ///
I don't think 'Everyone' is having a go, only the usual suspects, so may I now give you a piece of advice, please refrain from doing so.

your controversial threads are so popular because both sides become obliged to step forward, to be counted. I reckon there are more than 5 people who regularly take your side of the debate and more than 5 who write to disagree. They are polarising issues so this balance is to be expected.
If you find yourself outnumbered by responders who are trying to 'correct' your views then you know you've overstepped the mark (breaking a taboo, for want of a better description).
I notice you manage to steer clear of ad-hominem characterisations, such as "leftie whingers", "hand-wringing liberal luvvies" and this is commendable.

I suggest you carry on posting as you have, but avoid any claims that others have a chip on their shoulder or have an agenda about anything, because you leave yourself open to justifiable criticism.
Also, if you are going to post anything that others consider racist, sexist or homophobic, you need to accept that some will agree with that criticism and others will not.
I would also strongly advise that you learn, as I have, that there isn't a single person on AB whose opinion on any subject is more or less valid than your own. They may have formed their opinions on invalid data, and it's that data that should be attacked.
Also, when you're wrong, and you know you're wrong, it's perfectly fine to hold your hands up and admit it.
