NS seems to "preparing for government" - Would you rather ED and Dave did a deal than have the Sweaties "overhauling" us?

NS is not standing as an MP. It will be Alex Salmond leading the Scottish Nationalists in Parliament.

A Labour / Conservative Coalition is inconceiveable.

The Scots Nats have already ruled out a coalition with the Tories. It looks like Labour only want a pact.

My money is on a second election in October.
As has been mentioned elsewhere, Gromit, because of the ridiculous Fixed Term Parliament Act introduced to secure the Coalition that is unlikely. It will require either:

(a) a two-thirds majority in the Commons to call an election
(b) a successful vote of "No Confidence"
(c) the incoming government to propose and successfully secure the repeal of the FTP Act.

None of these seems in any way likely once the new batch of MPs get their feet under the table (and their noses in the trough) and the old school look forward to five more years of decent remuneration.

I think the judge is right, we've manage to paralyse ourselves this rediculous fixed term cobblers.
If ot suits everyone, the fixed term parliament act can be quickly repealed. It is also easy to manufacture a vote of no confidence if a party worhout a workng majority takes power.
