After all it was the three main political parties who were united in wanting Scotland to remain in the UK and were constant in their visits up here telling us how much better off we would all be together.
Hoist by ones own petard comes to my mind. :-)

To answer your question directly TTTT....they may have to ! If the SNP are going to sweep all before them at Westminster, than they will be the 3rd largest Party, and will be able to call the tune, just like Cleggie did 5 years ago.
We have to face reality here. We are no longer a cosy 2-Party system, and probably haven't been for a while, but we didn't notice. I still expect Labour to win more seats than the Tories in a few weeks time, and he will be asked by Betty if he can form a Government. If he can with a loose arrangement with Mr Salmond, that that is what he will do....what other choice does he have ?

Plaid Cymru MP's, its still looks like a Labour administration to me.

Don't forget, the Tories have very little support base north of the Border, and haven't done since 1997.
As I said, Betty will ask the holder of the most number of seats to form a Government. If he can't, she will ask the next one down the list. Its her job !
