Farage should have lanced this boil and sacked this daft woman last year, when she made her "ting tong" remark. He has now lost three Parliamentary candidates in less than a week, and its only 6 weeks to the next Election.

Complete shambles, from the Party that is supposed to be "breaking the mold"

Good play on words there, Mikey.:-)

Thanks Tilly....I try my best ! Where would we look for light entertainment these, without dear old UKIP ?

I predict that, just like London buses, there will be another UKIP blunder along any minute !
Hi Mikey - I think that UKIP has a long way to go before it stoops to the level of some former labour Mp's
Eric Joyce
Denis McShane
Jim Devine
Keith Vaz
David Chaytor

puts a 'ting tong' comment and a few quid on a restaurant receipt into perspective doesn't it?

"Let him that cast the first stone"
The difference between Labour and UKIP is that UKIP get rid of their rubbish while Labour hangs on to theirs.

A typical example is the track record of a certain Labour MP who now holds a very senior position, looking into other's misdemeanours.

Retrochic...all Parties have their problems, as has been seen yesterday for the Tories. But UKIP have lost these three in less than a week. The ones you mentioned went over a period of years, so I'm afraid your analogy is a little frilly at the edges.

I am not sure if you are a UKIP supporter, and I am not asking you,.....that is your own affair. But do you think that this shambles and lack of control by Farage makes UKIP more credible or less ?
You have to admire the speed with which UKIP deals with its disasters - the pity is, it seems to have more than the rest of the parties combined!
losing one candidate is unfortunate
but losing three seems like ....

with thanks to Lady Bracknell
// and a few quid on a restaurant receipt into perspective doesn't it? //

few quid ? hahahaha

Retro you're not an accountant are you - I think I might need your... services
Peter -tell me truthfully you've never put an 'optimistic' expense receipt in.
Question Author
AndyH...I would be far more impressed with UKIP's speed of dealing with these problems if they anticipated them first. Farage has quite a record of appearing on TV, sitting on a sofa, looking shocked and sheepish, whenever one of his loony tune candidates is caught out.

My point is that this is crisis management, in the run-up to an General Election, and its making him look a fool. And he normally doesn't need any help in that department.

PP...just about to paraphrase Mrs Bracknell myself...great minds think alike !

Retrochic...." a few quid"....of our money !
Mikey -I don't mind being called 'frilly' I've had worse said lol!
Farage gets rid of the rot there and then, like a greengrocer taking out the bad apple before it effects the rest of the box -unlike other parties that tend to try and hide away the apple or even deny its bad. Farage is being up front and honest admitting UKIP have a few bad apples and getting rid quickly , better than trying to coover up misdemeanors like Labour and the Cons.

Always ready to wheel out personal insults in the true Labour fashion.
Mikey its not your money unless you are a Benefactor of UKIP.
retro - I can tell you truthfully that I have never pulled a 'factor of three' job. For the simple reason that it is too risky.

Even the girl on the viddie - goes 'goop ?' when he says " £3,000 ?"

that is why I need you as an accountant - you seem OK with that and you would be the buffer with the taxman

Self praise is no recommendation.
UKIP has had to grow cery quickly and there was not enough central or local administration to properly vet all the candidates. So more unsuitable candidates made it onto candidate lists than might happen with other parties.

Coupled with the fact that many of those who applied were either ex-Conservative members (as was Janice Aktinson)) who had either been thrown out or encouraged to leave by Cameron moving his party more to the middle ground, and the result is some very poor candidates.
Question Author
Retrochic...I think you are wrong. The fraud concerning the restaurant bill was so that it could be claimed back in expenses from the huge handout that the EC gives UKIP, so it is our money. In exactly the same way as it was our money that a lot of MPs were cheating us out of a year or two ago.

Unless I have got that wrong ?
Peter its easy to take the moral high ground on an anonymous Forum, its kind of expected in certain circles.
