Protesting about the film 'Innocence of Muslims' does not make him an extremist. There were protests worldwide against the film which was considered blasphemous. It was an attack on his faith so he attended a rally against the film.

I think the father had been evenly punished for his views expressed within the family by seeing his daughter actually go off to the Islamist paradise on earth that he espouses.

And quite rightly so if there is any doubt, but if one is provided with photographic evidence as in the killing of Lee Rigby, and also in this case, a trial is just a formality.

The Arabic version of the film was uploaded to YouTube on 4th September. Egyptian TV broadcast a snippet on the 10th of September which caused protests on the streets the next day. The protest in London was on the 16th September. No disrespect to 9/11 victims intended.

That is very different from how the Daily Mail reported the protest at the time. No mention of anyone clashing with police in their report from 14th September 2012.

Handing letters intended for the parents, to the girls (who failed to deliver them) was a gaffe. And that is why the police apologised.

The fact that the father protested about a blasphemous film 3 years ago is not relevent. It does not prove he is an extremist, and it does not mean he indocrinated his child.
