Oh dear, his compo lawyer ain't going to be too happy.
Protesting about the film 'Innocence of Muslims' does not make him an extremist. There were protests worldwide against the film which was considered blasphemous. It was an attack on his faith so he attended a rally against the film.

Do you remember a dear sweet old ABer who was constant in his insistence that people were innocent until proven guilty ?

Yes - stand up that man ! - that was you - AOG

I think the father had been evenly punished for his views expressed within the family by seeing his daughter actually go off to the Islamist paradise on earth that he espouses.

He seems now to be saying - "oh I didnt mean that at all ! ( for my family I mean)"

His children are following in his footsteps - only has himself to blame, more than likely is very proud of his daughters actions, but cannot bring himself to admit it for fear of reprisals on himself - typical.

The date is a strange coincidence. This man is reaping what he’s sown.

And quite rightly so if there is any doubt, but if one is provided with photographic evidence as in the killing of Lee Rigby, and also in this case, a trial is just a formality.

And may I also make a suggestion? Be an apologist if you want, but please don't be so patronising towards me.

All Muslims are not the same, there are many peace loving ones.

That may well be, but there are many militant ones that keep crawling out of the midst of the peace loving ones.
//The protest was led by the hate preacher and notorious rabble rouser Anjem Choudary, who made a speech saying that Sharia would take over the entire world, including America and the UK//
//In London, more than 150 clashed with police outside the U.S. Embassy in Mayfair as they chanted 'burn, burn USA' and 'Allahu Akbar' (God is great).

Images posted online show Mr Hussen at the head of the march, reaching towards an Israeli flag as it is burned. A U.S. stars and stripes was also set on fire.//

Yes Gromit, offer all the grovelling sympathies you like but this man is clearly not a moderate and it is very difficult to imagine that his kids were not subjected to extremist ideology at home.

If Mr Hussan wants Sharia law, may I suggest he should have gone to Pakistan or similar instead of making his way to Britain.

// Protests against the film began on 9/11... The date is a strange coincidence //

The Arabic version of the film was uploaded to YouTube on 4th September. Egyptian TV broadcast a snippet on the 10th of September which caused protests on the streets the next day. The protest in London was on the 16th September. No disrespect to 9/11 victims intended.
Perhaps it might be instructive for the Select Committee to require him to return and answer a few additional questions, about how/where and by whom he feels his daughter was radicalised ... ?

Seems as if you were there.

Good point sunny-dave.

Sometime photographic evidence is not enough, as you yourself argued when debating the Chelsea racists who barred the black Parisien man from boarding a rain last month.
No, sometimes it isnt, but this clearly shows the man right at the front.

Not much arguing that is the camera angle.

Or, as a well known Islamic apologist, would you be intimating the pictures are photo-shopped?
//In London, more than 150 clashed with police outside the U.S. Embassy in Mayfair as they chanted 'burn, burn USA' and 'Allahu Akbar' (God is great). //

That is very different from how the Daily Mail reported the protest at the time. No mention of anyone clashing with police in their report from 14th September 2012.

Oh Gromit ...

... you ought by now to know that I'm much, much closer to singing from your hymn sheet than AoG's ... but he's got you bang to rights this time.

By defending the indefensible/hypocritical actions of this deceitful man you are just giving ammunition to the 'all muslims are bad' brigade.

The man has been caught out, he should be made to explain himself and retract his criticism of the police and school - defending him so stoutly is counter productive I think.

Pretty much like Christians then ... or any faith under the sun.

Handing letters intended for the parents, to the girls (who failed to deliver them) was a gaffe. And that is why the police apologised.

The fact that the father protested about a blasphemous film 3 years ago is not relevent. It does not prove he is an extremist, and it does not mean he indocrinated his child.
Andy, can you say when you last heard of a Christian blowing up a bus or flying a plane into a skyscraper?
