i'm missing something here. why?
Question Author
Well, the first bloke they arrested was a 'devout' Christian. Now they've arrested someone else and 'searched' a mosque.
It's early days but I think we can rule out an Assad hit squad now.
and the conclusion will be . . . . . . . .?
If this suspect is a devout Christian, why should they be searching the Mosque?

That is why Svejk is suggesting it is a curious case I think.
Probably have friends and/or family that go there ? No reason why there can't be a connection. But yes, unexpected.

Must admit, I presumed it was some sort of internecine strife.
Then when they arrested a Christian bloke, I thought can't be.
Don't know what to think now they've arrested a muslim* and searched the mosque.
*The second man arrested was connected to the mosque, apparently.
This mosque has been the subject of some controversy, not least for its extremist preachers. Founded by a Christian convert to Islam, it is the mosque from which a suspected terrorist disguised in a burka escaped police.

The plot thickens. A devout Christian British Assad supporter perhaps.Probably is not happy with the way Assad's opponents are treating the Syrian Christians and after all the preacher has spoken out against Assad. One big guess at the moment.
