Excellent response - in 9 words you completely rubbished Pastafreak's assertion.
I have a loathing for the phrase 'state sanctioned murder', because (a) it is always used to stir up emotion and (b) if the killing is state sanctioned it cannot, by definition, be murder. It is a pointless phrase, and as soon as its used, anything that follows is usually twaddle.
I am fundamentally against capital punishment - and am thankful that we will never see its return.....however, sovereign states are entitled to make their own laws, laws visitors must abide by, and therefore I agree with Ludwig on this. They knew they could be executed for breaking the law, they did so anyway, and they were executed for it. End of Story.
