Eddie, I don't doubt it now. I think most of us find it difficult to believe that a 'National Treasure' is not such a treasure - until the evidence is such that we have no alternative.
the Protection of Children Act is legislation. They're not just inventing offences, there actually are laws against this sort of thing.
I agree with naomi, it is sad to see; but clearly the nice-guy image he had (unlike Savile, who appeared to revel in being odd) was simply inaccurate, and we had no reason to suspect it.
