The Scots Are The Most Gay
22 Answers
32 of the 650 MPs recently elected are (openly) gay, lesbian, or bi.
That's 4.9%, which is close to what is thought to be the proportion of the population as a whole (not the urban mythical 1 in 10). We have the world's most gay parliament.
But ...
The most gay party, by quite some way, are the Scottish National Party, with a 12% gay representation. Well over double the average.
So, everyone thinks that the Scots are dour, and manly. In reality, they are more gay and colourful than any of the rest of us.
If the Scots did become independent, Scotland would just become one giant gay carnival. The Edinburgh Festival would take on a whole new complexion.

I'm not sure about the Middlesbrough Scots, TSL.
At the game last weekend, the Boro fans were singing the usual "Brighton being gay" songs ...
(We Can See You're Holding Hands) and
(Does Your Boyfriend Know You're Here?)
Of course, it's possible that they were being ironic, and that Boro fans enjoy an overwhelmingly higher than average gayness.
