Whether this is true or not the Libyan government would have their own reasons for announcing it. A cynic might say they're looking more help in their struggle with ISIS and the West might help them, and in doing so, stop the tide of boat people .

Well the IS mentality has been here for years. Proof being people leaving the UK to fight for them, Jihad John etc.

IS can only exist here as small terrorist cells;which we've had for the last 10 odd years. We're not about to see them march into some random down and loft the black flag.
