Most people who go bankrupt probably owe the money to banks (via their credit card operations).

It's somewhat unusual to encounter an AB member feeling sorry for for the banking industry ;-)
They must all really be blue now then.
strange how the AB system gives a capital letter to every word in the question title except the one that should have it.

But I digress. It sounds as if the problem wasn't so much lavish lifestyles as making bad investments. Perhaps they made these of their own accord; more likely they were ill advised.

Are We Getting A Bit Sarcastic In Old Age JNO?
What is sarcastic about jno's comment?
Yeah ! keep on thread !

I have little sympathy for creditors - they took a risk which has matured. The credit terms are meant to build in a bit to compensate for bad risks

-and I'm a creditor ! and I certainly didnt feel sorry for WONGA ! - too right
I once worked for an employer who had three different businesses and the one I worked for became insolvent. I didn't get my pay and one girl was promised she would get paid if she stayed on to finish the work being done. She didn't get paid either so it isn't always the big boys that get stung on insolvency and bankruptcy.
I sometimes think the "victims" ie Blue - have a bit of money stashed somewhere safely. I think of all bankrupt people. They make moves.
A sweeping statement JennyJoan - whilst some may use bankruptcy as a ruse and have contingency plans - for many it is a devastating road to travel.

Your life is picked over in minute detail and trust me , an easy way out for many - it isn't.
Yes it's not good for people who are owed money .

However as for the band members - i have no sympathy at all .
They were in a privilege situation , where 99 % of the population will never be .

Well unless he was given bad financial advice then - that's life - well i suspect it didn't have to be ,in their cases .
that's right Mama but I know of 3 "bankruptced" people and life has gone on for them ie holidays, houses, don't start me on it
I won't start you on anything - simply speaking from experience.
I'm a big fan of Blue, but I'm with you on this one Bazile ..
I wasn't being sarcastic about you, trt. Like I said, it's the AB system that did it, not you.
They'll still be better off than most of us and won't have to work their nuts off to get by
