Ludwig,
You cannot work it it because you imagine things. I have not berated UKIP as a party for being racist. Individual UKIP members or supporters, possibly. I am not in favour of a total ban on immigration, but growing our pipulation by a million every 4 years is not sustainable.
I am for immigration if it is useful to the country. Anyone with a skill that British industry needs and finds difficulty recruiting locally should be welcomed with open arms. Also, if the economy expanding and there are plenty of new jobs being created, then the country needs additional workers, then we should get them even if that means importing foreign Labour.
But for the last 5 years, the economy has shrunk or stood still. New jobs are not being created (in any significant numbers), yet we are accepting more immigrants now than we were in the boom years.
People like NJ like to blame the EU, but that is a red herring. Most of the immigrants arriving are non EU. EU migrants are more likely to return home.

Lovely bit of metaphor mixing nonsense there, AOG.
