The Fifa gentlemen are being quizzed over presumed bribes according to the news but I think we should also know what bribes if any were not accepted and made by who as this is equally important .oh and aye all professional football should be be suspended till the out come of this investigation 3/5years we can wait

Suspend ALL football?
Question Author
Yip the lot
I am listening to the Today Program and it is being predicted that Blatter will still get elected again tomorrow !

The mind boggles...is there anything that can happen that will finally force this ghastly man to stand down and be even a little bit humble ?
He may be corrupt and he may be ghastly, but he satisfies the majority of footballing nations with the type of support that they want.....not necessarily need. Give the punters what THEY want and not what you think they want and that is a formula for success......in most aspects of life.

It is a racing certainty that he will be re-elected.
The whole game is rotten from top to bottom, from delusional toads to cheating divers.
The hoo-ha will soon die down and we'll have 'expert' analysis from plums like Lineker & co.
Morning Sqad ! But will he be arrested before he is elected, or after !
weecalf; "3/5 years we can wait." Just who are the 'WE' you refer to?

The royal we
Blatter may get elected tomorrow but it will mean nothing.
This was a proper investigation and there is a very accurate picture building up of who paid what to whom.
And we still have the other investigation into 2018/22 to come
Marvellous :-)
morning mikey..........;-)
Everything "ticking" over nicely I hope Sqad !
mikey...fine, just fine.
Glad to hear it my friend !

One small thing. If you recall, I told you about a friend in the States that had a baby in Pittsburgh last Autumn. The little lad was born with a heart transposition. They operated immediately but it wasn't a great success. He got weaker and weaker. They were seriously thinking of discontinuing all treatment before Xmas but he was fitted with a Berlin Heart in February. I am now glad to say that he had a successful transplant 4 weeks ago.

He has now been discharged and is home for the first time ! He was treated in the Pittsburgh Children's Hospital for Children and I remember you saying at the time, that although the condition was very serious, he couldn't have been in a better place. It seems you were right ! Not that I doubted you at all of course.

But thank goodness the parents had some health insurance, as I hate to think what the cost would have been without it.

A good news story, for which we should be grateful.
mikey......what a fantastic story and satisfying outcome.
Thanks.
a five year ban on football would shake Sky TV to its foundations. I'm sure Rupert Murdoch will tell Cameron to stop this happening.

The sponsors like Visa are now getting involved..they should back out of all deals unless Blatter stands down immediately..money talks !
blatter will be re-elected.
this corruption thing will drag on, blow over and be forgotten.
the alleged guilty will be quietly released with no action.

football is above the law, i thought everyone knew that.
Mush...I am not so sure about the blowing over bit. The Yanks are looking very serious here ::::

It won't blow over or be forgotten
Next step: the next two world cups will be re-bid possibly under the auspices of a new organisation
But let no one bleat about 'the fans deserving better'
The 'fans' are as much to blame as anyone for the resigned and complacent attitude demonstrated. We muddle along and say 'well that's FIFA for you' and continue to watch the World Cup and patronise the sponsors from whom now pious outbursts of moral superiority
It's taken the much maligned 'authorities' to act and the boring old FBI will in the end be FIFA's undoing
spot on, ichkeria, there's been zero outrage among fans over all these years, they just go on pouring their own money into the sport.
